Sciatica - Pulling Pain & Numbness in One Leg

How Can Osso Help Sciatica – Pulling Pain & Numbness?

Sciatica is a common condition that affects many people, causing Pulling Pain & Numbness in One Leg. This discomfort can be debilitating and significantly impact your daily life. Sciatica is caused by the herniation of a disc in your lumbar spine (L5). This occurs when long-term forceful impact and pressure are put on one side of the nerve, collapsing the disc and resulting in sciatica. The pain of sciatica hardly affects the back at all but radiates out from the lower back, down the buttocks, and into one or both of the legs, right down to the calf.

What’s makes us apart from other centre, we will send our patient to our own Advanced Digital  X-ray (click this link to find out more about our Digital X-ray Opening Promotion) screening to rule out specific condition and provide a clear picture of the spine. Once we have analyzed and review the X-ray with precise measurements of each vertebra marked with our advanced X-Ray Software, we will discuss the findings with the patient and explain the recommended treatment programs.

At Osso Bone Care, through our innovative Osso Flexion Distraction Adjustment Technique ®️ and OSSO 3D Spinal Decompression Therapy ®️, we work to realign your lumbar spine and restore balance to your discs. We focus on treating the affected area by adjusting your lumbar spine and ensuring your disc is in an even and balanced position For Example, if you’re feeling numbness and pain in your right leg, we will perform the Osso Flexion Distraction Adjustment Technique ®️ and OSSO 3D Spinal Decompression Therapy ®️ by rotating the angle of the table to balance the pressure.

By using our very own OSSO 3D Spinal Decompression Therapy ®, we can assign different program patterns according to the different types of conditions of the patients. This is a very tailor-made and personalized experience, as we will follow the improvement of the patients to perform different patterns of spinal decompression therapy.

This rotation is essential as it helps to release the pressure between the vertebrae and causes a negative pressure to form in the center of the disc. This creates a suction effect that draws in and reduces any disc herniation or bulges

If left untreated, sciatica can cause limping when walking. In some serious case, some patients can’t even walk properly.

Symptoms of Sciatica

Do you have numbness, tingling and pulling sensation on only one side of your leg? Chances are you may have sciatica. Sciatica is different to general back pain. The pain of sciatica hardly affects the back at all but radiates out from the lower back, down the buttocks and into one or both of the legs, right down to the calf.

Sciatica

The pain often gets worse over time and may also be made worse by:

  • sneezing, coughing or laughing (impulse pain)
  • standing or sitting for a long period of time
  • bending backwards

Sciatica

Anything that causes irritation or puts pressure on the sciatic nerve can cause sciatica, including:

  • Herniation Disc (or slipped disc) – the cushions between the bones of your spine bulge out of place and press on the nerve as it exits the spinal column
  • Disk degeneration-caused by aging or arthritis
  • Spinal Stenosis -narrowing of the spinal canal in the lumbar area
  • Spondylolisthesis -slippage of a bone in the low back
  • Muscle Strain or ligaments in the area
